Project Description
The work included demolition of internal existing walls ceilings existing M & E services, floors .Joinery, ironmongery, doors, windows,
These works consisted of co ordination and management of multiple subcontractors interfaces.
Construction of new classrooms for Woodwork, Multi media, Home Economics , Beauty rooms , Science rooms, Offices, Welfare facilities for staff and students.
The works include for remedial / alteration works to the existing building so as to enable a new link between the existing LCETB facility and the new classrooms.and so as to upgrade the energy efficiency of the building. Alterations to existing external façade, curtain walling, replacement of roof, upgrade of existing structures thermal properties etc
Completions – Internal wall completions , Internal finishes floor finishes, painting tiling sanitary ware, suspended ceiling and clients specification of classroom furniture
Roof alterations Kingspan roof completions including installation of roof lights, Guttering and Downpipes
New M &; E services included strip out of existing services and heating system, installation of new services installation to building including air to water heating system mech ventilation, hot & cold services . New Services were tied into the existing building, with minimum disturbances / disruption..
This Building BER rating was successfully upgraded to achieve an A3 rating.
The project recognised progression of construction activities in very close and proximity to existing facilities and stakeholders in the Buisness Park which remained in use during construction works.
Safe access routes were maintained for all users, traffic and pedestrians of the Business Park at all times throughout the project. MFC had overall management and co-ordination of traffic management, with separation of pedestrian and vehicular access within the construction site.;
